A bold, uncompromising and thought-provoking exhibition exploring an unfiltered and often unseen side of motherhood is now at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery.
Lāsma Poiša’s I Became A Mother will be showcased at the historic venue between 8 March and 19 May.
The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is pleased to present Miyuki Okuyama’s first UK solo exhibition, Japan, outside Japan. The show features Okuyama’s two recent works, Dear Japanese: Children of War (2012-17) and Michinoku Homeward: Walking towards the Northeast (2021).
"Little Faces Big Feelings" is a poignant photographic collection documenting and highlighting the profound impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on children and young people worldwide. The project, spearheaded by documentary photographer Maria Reaney, brings together 16 artists from internationally diverse backgrounds to shed light on the social and emotional challenges faced by children during lockdowns and thereafter. On at the Library of Birmingham 18 April - 29 June 2024.
This April, acclaimed Bradfordian social documentary photographer Ian Beesley turns 70. He has spent the last 5 decades documenting life in the North of England. He had planned to retire this year. Instead, the appetite for his work is stronger than ever. So on April 27 a previously unseen selection of Beesley’s work selected from his archive of over 200,000 images goes on show at Salts Mill, Saltaire.

The ninth edition of the fair opens its doors at Somerset House from 16 to 19 May, Preview Day 15 May 2024. Photo London will deliver an exciting line-up of exhibitors: this year’s Fair will offer visitors the opportunity to marvel at, explore and acquire some of the finest photographic works. With its vibrant Public Programme, the Fair will present three major exhibitions including a display by 2024 Master of Photography recipient Valérie Belin.
SALFORD 77 is a documentary photography project focusing on everyday life in a changing urban environment in 1977. It aims to bring back memories of these parts of Salford and to show younger people the times their parents and grandparents grew up in.

The Peter James Lecture honours the memory of Peter James (1958-2018), a British archivist and curator of photography at Birmingham Central Library. It focuses on themes around archive management and photography reflecting Pete's own interests. It is organised by the Royal Photographic Society, Redeye and FORMAT International Photography Festival, and is hosted by Birmingham City University and GRAIN Projects.
SixBySix is delighted that Stephen Clarke will be joining us in person to talk about his project Alien Resident: Under Investigation on the Evening of Wedensday, 19th April at Ropes and Twines, Liverpool. Doors open at 7pm, and the talk will start at 7.30pm.
Stephen will also be exhibiting a selection of work from the photographs he made in San Diego. The work will be on show at Ropes and Twines, Liverpool from the 19th April.
Estuary is a photographic essay of the Humber and the challenges it faces. The beauty of the big skies, the ever changing light and the fluidity of water is a constant. However climate change, brought about in part by some of the key industries on this huge estuary, is threatening the environment and the human and wild life that are a part of it. The race is on to make changes and this photographic essay seeks to show the beauty and challenges the Humber faces.

On Saturday 29th of October, Redeye's Hothouse arrives in Newcastle upon Tyne for a free, daylong celebration of photography. It's a showcase of new talent and a hive of photographic activity and information. Bradley Brook is an outdoor photography exhibition by Manchester Photographer Tristan Poyser, exploring our relationship with nature and the benefit to our mental health and wellbeing.
A Calder River Journey, is a personal reflection of the river, past and present, the route starting in Calderdale, via Wakefield, ending as it flows into the river Aire.
Russell's approach was influenced by the Canticle of brother Sun prayer, where St Francis seems to bring nature to a higher light: "Praised be to you my Lord, with all your creators, especially brother Sun." "Praised be to you sister water, which is very useful and humble and precious and chaste."
