A bold, uncompromising and thought-provoking exhibition exploring an unfiltered and often unseen side of motherhood is now at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery.
Lāsma Poiša’s I Became A Mother will be showcased at the historic venue between 8 March and 19 May.
The Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation is pleased to present Miyuki Okuyama’s first UK solo exhibition, Japan, outside Japan. The show features Okuyama’s two recent works, Dear Japanese: Children of War (2012-17) and Michinoku Homeward: Walking towards the Northeast (2021).
"Little Faces Big Feelings" is a poignant photographic collection documenting and highlighting the profound impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on children and young people worldwide. The project, spearheaded by documentary photographer Maria Reaney, brings together 16 artists from internationally diverse backgrounds to shed light on the social and emotional challenges faced by children during lockdowns and thereafter. On at the Library of Birmingham 18 April - 29 June 2024.
This April, acclaimed Bradfordian social documentary photographer Ian Beesley turns 70. He has spent the last 5 decades documenting life in the North of England. He had planned to retire this year. Instead, the appetite for his work is stronger than ever. So on April 27 a previously unseen selection of Beesley’s work selected from his archive of over 200,000 images goes on show at Salts Mill, Saltaire.

The ninth edition of the fair opens its doors at Somerset House from 16 to 19 May, Preview Day 15 May 2024. Photo London will deliver an exciting line-up of exhibitors: this year’s Fair will offer visitors the opportunity to marvel at, explore and acquire some of the finest photographic works. With its vibrant Public Programme, the Fair will present three major exhibitions including a display by 2024 Master of Photography recipient Valérie Belin.
SALFORD 77 is a documentary photography project focusing on everyday life in a changing urban environment in 1977. It aims to bring back memories of these parts of Salford and to show younger people the times their parents and grandparents grew up in.

Hothouse arrives in Leeds for a day-long celebration of photographic talent. Throughout the day there will be short presentations from photographers about their recent work and projects, plus ample opportunity for networking and showing portfolios and books. Redeye is delighted to be working with Miniclick and Lens Think Yorkshire on this edition of Hothouse; they have both contributed to the day’s programming.
A new collection of contemporary landscape photography opens at Argentea Gallery on 2 November. Out of the Woods of Thought is a fascinating exploration of the natural world through a series of highly atmospheric works by some of the UK’s most exciting landscape photographers.

In partnership with CFCCA, we are delighted to welcome international award-winning photographer Mandy Barker to present her globally recognised work involving marine plastic debris. Working alongside scientists, Mandy aims to raise awareness about pollution in the world's oceans whilst highlighting the harmful affect on marine life and ultimately ourselves.
Fourth Year is a series of informal support sessions for recent graduates and people about to graduate from photography courses to gain support for their practice.

The image of Manchester has been accurately represented visually over the years by the likes of local stalwarts Samuel Coulthurst or Kevin Cummins. In times of political and social flux, a rather more acerbic, satirical identity has been required, and David Dunnico is one of the people to have picked up that baton.
